"Please, help us keep our boat landings clean."

If you enjoy boating, fishing, swimming, water skiing or long walks on the beach, then Beaufort County is just the place for you! Beaufort County has 587 square miles of islands, 64 larger ones and 2,000 smaller. Our beaches and waterways are what makes the Lowcountry Islands what they are. Although you can enjoy Beaufort and Hilton Head Island without boating, you have missed a very special part of what makes our community so unique if you do not spend some time out on the water.

The Lowcountry provides and maintains some really nice public boat landings. These landings are stragetically located to give you quick and safe access to some of the best fishing spots.

Be sure to check with the local sporting goods shops for the latest fishing updates!

Food For Thought

Since three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land, it is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.
